A pilgrim journey to Mt Amyemachen

Highlights: Mt. Amye Machen, Mt. Nyenpoyurtse, Kyaring and Ngrang lakes, Nomads, etc. Almost all Tibetan communities or villages have their own mountains with spirits and Mt. Amyemachen and Nyenpoyurtse in Golog are the most sacred mountains in Amdo. On special occasions, Tibetans make their ‘Kora’ (circumambulation) pilgrimage to these mountains especially Mt. Amyemachen when it is the Horse-Year (2014) A complete Kora on foot requires 7-8 days
